VDCC – Introduction, History, and Community Vision
Who We Are
Vietnam Data Center Community (VDCC) is a professional community that brings together experts, enterprises, operators, consultants, designers, and organizations involved in the data center industry in Vietnam.
VDCC was established with the mission of creating a platform for knowledge sharing, professional networking, and fostering the sustainable development of the data center industry.
Currently, VDCC operates as a specialized chapter under HCA – Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA).
History and Development
VDCC traces its origins back to 2015, initiated by Mr. Bui Quang Xuan, a data center operations engineer with more than 15 years of hands-on experience in the Data Center industry.
Key Milestones:
- 2015 – Established under the name Data Center Management Network.
- September 2018 – Renamed as the VN Data Center Management Network.
- July 2019 – Continued its development as the Vietnam Data Center Association (VN Data Center Management Network).
- September 2019 – Officially adopted the name Vietnam Data Center Community (VDCC).
Today, VDCC operates as a specialized chapter under the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA), serving as a platform for knowledge sharing, professional networking, and the sustainable development of Vietnam’s data center ecosystem.
Our Mission and Objectives
- Promote technology exchange and keep members updated on the latest trends in the Data Center industry.
- Share best practices and solutions for Data Center design, construction, operation, and management.
- Provide updates on international standards and frameworks, including Uptime Institute, TIA-942, and BICSI.
- Organize seminars, workshops, training programs, and specialized courses.
- Foster collaboration and strengthen relationships with Data Center communities in Vietnam and around the world.
Community Principles
VDCC operates with the spirit of Professionalism – Knowledge Sharing – Connectivity – Community Development.
The community does not permit content unrelated to Data Centers, sensitive information, unlawful materials, content contrary to social ethics, political or religious topics, or any content that is inconsistent with the community’s mission and objectives.
